Better Than Bulletproof Coffee

Typical Bulletproof Coffee uses up to two Tablespoons each of butter and coconut or MCT oil, and no protein. Even when I do a high fat diet, I felt like it was too “oily”, and despite having high fat numbers to hit, I had a hard time staying under them with full-fat Bulletproof Coffee.
Additionally, I felt like I needed to have some protein, since I drink Bulletproof Coffee as a meal.
So I created “Better Than Bulletproof” coffee using one tablespoon each of butter and coconut oil, and a 1-2 scoops (or 1/2 to 1 packet) of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.
Typical Bulletproof Coffee: (utilizing 3 Tbsp total of fat from a combination of butter and coconut or MCT oil) 320Kcals; 0 CHO/0 PRO/ 36 FAT
Better Than Bulletproof: 255 KCals; 0 CHO/ 9 PRO/ 25 FAT
Note: I only work Better Than Bulletproof into my diet if I’m following a very low-carb (modified ketogenic, meaning my protein is higher than a true ketogenic diet) diet. It puts my fats too high otherwise.
Ready in: 5 minutes
- 6-8 ounces hot coffee
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 scoop or 1 individual packet Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
Combine all ingredients in magic bullet or ninja blender and blend until frothy
